MY HAIR IS FALLING OUT

I have for many years been (too) proud of my hair, been going to the same hairdresser for over 30 years, Cathy over at Executive Hair great place for not just a haircut but you can sit back and enjoy an espresso. Cathy has always been amazed that at my age I still have a full head of hair.

I remember asking when they first told me I was going to have chemotherapy was I going to lose my hair (conceit) I was told that it would ‘thin out’ but not lose it completely. Apparently, it will continue to grow but be thinner and according to this article after about 6 months everything should be back to normal.

On a lighter side I, have a good friend ‘St’ who is completely bald, so bald that even on a dull day you can be blinded by the Image result for BALDshine. Anyways he has been looking forward to this day reminding me a couple of weeks ago he was ‘really’ looking forward to it.  Well ‘St’ your day has arrived enjoy it while you can cos in six months buddy it’ll be back AND YOU’LL STILL BE BALD…

Just a recap, I’m halfway through my rest period and my strength is coming back more each day, I’m still short of breath sometimes which is a side effect but I can live with that for now at least.  Next Thursday I’ll be back in the chemo chair for 6 hours until then I trying to enjoy my regained be it slow strength as it returns day by day.

More on this in a later post but a huge shout-out to an older friend ‘Wa’ who I spent an hour or so with the other night who has been fighting Stage 4 lung Cancer for 5 years now.  Thanks for the kick in the ass man I needed it.

Be well my friends, have a terrific day ~ unless you’ve made other plans….

I never use friends names in full to protect their privacy therefore the use of just the first 2 letters is always used.
